re: some gigs at the IFP
Though the year is winding down, we at IFP are busier than ever, and looking for a team of good interns to help us through.

VIDEO INTERNS for the Community Department.
1) VIDEO EDITING INTERN - Community Management Department
Ideal candidate is a self-motivated intern with some digital video experience, as well as a good knowledge of the independent film world and its players. The ideal candidate should have some experience in Final Cut Pro or iMovie, and be aware of the independent film scene's Industry leaders. Duties will including selecting, digitizing, and editing clips from past Conferences and programs to use in marketing and membership materials.

2) IFP PROGRAMMING DEPARTMENT INTERN.
We need a Sharp and self-directed individual. The ideal candidate should be flexible, professional, motivated and with great interest in and knowledge of independent narrative and documentary film. Expertise in Microsoft platform, Excel, Word and internet savvy a must; any database software (Access, Raiser’s Edge), a plus. This is a great position for someone interested in the inner workings of film programming, arts administration and in working for a filmmaker’s advocacy group.
Our intern would assist with Narrative & Documentary Independent Filmmaker Labs (Spring 2010, labs.ifp.org), Fiscal Sponsorship program, alumni tracking, research on outside film funding organizations & grants, lots more! This is an administrative and programming support position, including research and data entry.

These are great opportunities to be a part of the independent film industry, build professional relationships, and to be a part of IFP, America’s oldest and largest organization of independent filmmakers.Both internships would be Part time, two to three days a week.
