Editing Intern

Looking for a young, talented editing intern to edit panels, sizzler reels, and The ideal candidate should have their own laptop with Final Cut Pro and be experienced and adept with Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, and preferably, AfterEffects. The edited pieces would be shown on www.ifp.org, in our promotional materials, on YouTube and throughout other social networking sites.

Administrative Intern:

Organized and self-motivated individual needed to intern with IFP for general administrative and program support. This is a great position for someone interested in learning the inner workings and key players of the independent film and arts nonprofit world. Ideal candidate will be flexible, professional, and detail oriented. Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and Web savvy is a must. For Summer 2010 cycle, our intern would primarily assist with Industry Registration and Outreach for Independent Film Week, along with executing research & data entry, and organizing archival materials. Opportunity to expand available as your interest and skill necessitates.

The Woodstock Film Festival is a uniquely intimate, casual and friendly event, where highly respected industry "movers and shakers" mingle freely with emerging filmmakers, providing excellent networking opportunities in a fun and stimulating environment. Honoring unique vision and quality, the Maverick Awards are presented for Best Feature, Best Documentary, Best Short Documentary, Best Short Film, Best Student Film, Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Best Animation. Cash, prizes and/or services valued at over $50,000 are given out. Audience Awards are presented for Best Feature and Best Documentary.

Reach Film Fellowship
Deadline: July 12
The Reach Film Fellowship (RFF) is a specialized program for early-career filmmakers who are making artful, socially relevant short films between 5 and 15 minutes long. Four filmmakers per year are selected to receive a $5,000 grant, production support, and seven months of mentorship, career advising and industry exposure as they progress through the entire production and post-production process and prepare for submissions to festivals and distributors. The Reach Film Fellowship seeks applicants who are emerging, early-career filmmakers and have completed at least one short film. Recent film school graduates and self-taught filmmakers with the equivalent experience are excellent candidates. Current students can apply as long as they will have graduated by summer 2010.
